Irvine Personal Injury Accidents Affect Residents Every Year

While the number seems low, bicycle safety advocates say that many statistics of bicycle accidents are underreported. They point out that police don't bother to write up a report unless the cyclist is injured or if there is property damage.

In a checkpoint held during September 2009, the Irvine Police Department said that out of 338 vehicles that were stopped, three people were arrested for drinking under the influence.
