According to reports, her fiancé, Reynold Lester, was also killed in this crash.
Neighbors have complained repeatedly to county officials about cars speeding downhill on La Brea or across Slauson. The intersection, several said, had become a hotspot for “street takeovers,” unauthorized, illegal events where people perform stunts with their cars.
