Bridgestone Americas Inc. is recalling about 1,923 Firestone Destination LE3 and Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus passenger and light truck tires in the U.S. and Canada because of a manufacturing issue that could potentially result in air loss and tire failure. According to a news report, the tires being recalled may have been manufactured with a small pinhole in the upper sidewall of the tire. In rare instances, the pinhole may penetrate the tire’s inner liner causing the gradual loss of air pressure.
