A quick-thinking Amazon driver in Las Vegas came to the rescue of a 19-year-old and her dog when they were attacked by a larger dog.
According to a KABC news report, the incident was captured on a doorbell camera on Dec. 13. The homeowner, a local real estate agent, who was showing homes at the time, said his Ring alert went off while he was working.

Michael Ray said he watched the incident unfold before his very eyes. The video showed his daughter Lauren coming out of the home to greet a dog that was loose. That’s when her dog, a 9-year-old cocker spaniel, bolted out of the house. The larger dog immediately started to attack the smaller one, at which point Lauren Ray scooped up her small dog in her arms.
But the large dog continued to attack the two as she screamed for help. That’s when an Amazon driver rushed to their aid, literally stepping in and putting herself in front of the aggressive dog until both Lauren and her dog could run back into the house. Michael Ray posted about the incident on social media expressing his gratitude toward the good Samaritan delivery driver, saying she could have easily stayed back after seeing how aggressive the dog was acting.
Thanks to the driver’s quick thinking, both Lauren Ray and her dog escaped without injury, her dad said. According to local media, the Ray family was able to track down the heroic Amazon driver and thank her with a bouquet of flowers.
We also commend the Amazon driver for her bravery and quick thinking. Without her intervention, there’s no telling how seriously Lauren Ray and her little dog may have been injured.
