Food Truck Driver Killed in Santa Ana Rollover Crash

Santa Ana food truck rollover crash 2025

At about 10:45 PM on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, a serious crash claimed the life of a food truck driver and injured another. The Orange County Fire Authority and police found the driver of the food truck ejected, with the truck having rolled over on him, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

The driver was identified as 67-year-old Richardson Ayala from Anaheim, and he was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

According to the investigators, Ayala was trying to turn left in front of oncoming traffic at Broadway Avenue and Warner Avenue. He was struck by an SUV going in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash caused the food truck to flip over, ejecting Mr. Ayala. Rollover accidents can have catastrophic outcomes, as seen in this accident.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact a detective at (714) 245-8207.

On January 25th, there was another rollover in Orange County resulting in critical injuries. The investigation is ongoing, but a wrong-way driver appears to be at fault.
