Snyder’s-Lance’s Diamond of California brand had issued a voluntary recall on its macadamia nuts over food poisoning issues. According to a news report on Patch.com, the products have been recalled due to salmonella contamination. So far, the company says, no illnesses have been reported and that the recall was issued as a precaution. The recall was prompted by testing results from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) laboratory.
The testing found salmonella in a 4-ounce package of Diamond of California Chopped Macadamia Nuts. Consumers who may have purchased these recalled products are urged not to eat them. The Dangers of Salmonella
