DNA evidence that was left at the scene of a hit-and-run crash in downtown Los Angeles that killed a bicyclist has led to the suspect being charged with murder. According to a KTLA news report, 36-year-old Ronald Earl Kenebrew Jr. was identified as the suspect in the fatal crash that killed 46-year-old Branden Finley. Man Suffers Broken Legs in Santa Ana Hit and Run Crash

A man suffered two broken legs in a Santa Ana hit and run accident late on June 7th. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred at the intersection of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue. The victim was on a crosswalk when a vehicle headed south on Bristol struck him. He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive. The driver fled the scene of the crash. Hit and Run Deaths in Los Angeles Rise 69% in Past Five Years

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) recently held a press conference to announce that hit-and-run fatalities in the city have been continuously increasing in the city and has skyrocketed 69% over the last five years. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, LAPD’s Chief Michel Moore said more than 236 people were killed in traffic accidents in 2019. Two people who were riding on a scooter suffered major injuries after a hit-and-run driver struck them the night of Sept. 4. According to a KTLA news report, the crash occurred near the intersection of Glendale Boulevard and Rowena Avenue. Two people were riding on what was described as a scooter when they were rear-ended by another vehicle. Joan Davis, 62, was killed after she was dragged for three blocks by a hit-and-run driver early morning on Aug. 2. According to a KTLA news report, investigators determined that Davis was initially struck while crossing South Central Avenue at East 84th Place. When police arrived at the scene, the woman was passed away and was lying in the street. Davis’s family members later identified her. They are hoping that the driver who did this comes forward.
