Seattle Work-Zone Car Crashes Responsible for Many Injuries

A constantly evolving city, Seattle in Kings County, Washington is dotted with construction projects that interrupt traffic flow. As most car accident attorneys will advise, construction areas or work zones are places where drivers should exercise extreme caution to avoid car crashes.

The Seattle Post Intelligencer reported on Jun 22, 2007 that a construction worker lost his life and another worker was injured when a car plowed through a plainly marked work-zone on Interstate 405. Apparently, motorists seem to travel at dangerously high speeds through construction zones. In 2005, work-zone collisions began to climb after a six-year drop. Fatal collisions and non-injury collisions rose dramatically.
