Meet Lorraine Sellier
As our Administrative Assistant for nearly six years, Lorraine Sellier offers much more than what meets the eye (or ears). Not only is she the air traffic controller of Bisnar Chase--greeting and routing the hundreds of clients, prospects, and others who phone or visit our office each week--but she's also one of the first person in the building each day, making sure the office is ready for takeoff.
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Lorraine fell in love with Southern California while on vacation and relocated here in 1981 and in 2003 we were lucky enough to have her join our team. Each morning when she arrives at work she turns on the lights, computers, and phone lines and then puts a smile on her voice as she gets ready for an exciting and energetic day.
Lorraine has been married to her husband for 42 years and enjoys traveling, dining out, and watching television. Contact us today at 1-800-561-4887 to speak with Lorraine to discover how we can serve you!

Engine Maintenance Tips: Help Your Car Keep Its Cool In The Summer Heat! (Part 1)
Most people know to get their cars tuned up and ready for winter driving conditions, but few realize that the summertime also presents very demanding weather conditions for their vehicles.
If you are planning to use your car as a daily driver in the California heat, or even if you have a big trip coming up, you should make sure everything is ready to go so you can keep your vehicle looking, feeling, and running cool this year.
Here are 5 steps to help your car keep its cool so you can get not only avoid the wear and tear of a hot summer, but also stay comfortable while driving in the California sunshine.
- Upgrade Your Coolant--If your coolant level is too low or the strength is too weak, your engine may overheat and or even corrode. You should check your coolant and make sure the reservoir is always filled to the proper level.
Tip: Never open your radiator cap on a hot radiator under any circumstances. Hot steam and boiling coolant could spray out, causing serious burns. - Maintain Your Cooling Fan--High mileage cooling fan clutches (100,000+ miles) are often weak, do not provide sufficient cooling, and could cause the engine to overheat. You should either check your cooling fan yourself (by turning the A/C on max and seeing if the fan comes on) or take it to a maintenance center to make sure it is working effectively.
Did You Know: Your car's engine generates enough heat to completely destroy itself. Thankfully the cooling system is in place to keep it operating within a safe temperature range. - Check Your Air Conditioning--Although it may be fun to drive around with your windows rolled down, there are always times you'll want your A/C to be working properly. If your air conditioning isn't blowing cold air, your refrigerant charge may be low.
Tip: You should get your air conditioning system checked for leaks before adding refrigerant. - Monitor Your Battery--Believe it or not, hot weather is actually tougher on batteries than cold weather because the liquid electrolyte inside the battery evaporates faster in warmer temperatures (except with gel-type batteries). If your battery is more than 5 years old it will likely need to be replaced.
Did You Know: You can determine the age of your battery by checking the date code. The number on the code indicates the year while the letter corresponds to the month it was made (A = January, B = February, and so forth). - Change Your Oil--Replacing your old oil offers much better lubrication protection for your car's engine and is an essential task for older vehicles. You should check your vehicle's manual to see how often you need an oil change--and if there's any doubt as to when you last changed it, get one right away.
Tip: Synthetic motor oils work best for high temperature protection.
Those five steps are imperative if you want to keep your car running smoothly this summer. However, I've got plenty of other great tips in store.
In next month's ezine I'll show you my final five tips so you can drive the coolest car around, so stay tuned--and remember that we're not only here to help you stay safe on the roads, but we're also able to protect your rights and maximize your settlement if a car accident ever occurs.
Car Accident Lawyers
At BISNAR | CHASE, our experience and dedication to representing California car accident victims has earned us the legal expertise and financial resources to handle our client's cases with the best representation possible. Just last week we settle a case against one of the automobile manufacturers over a seatbelt breaking during a terrible car accident, allowing a college student to be ejected from his vehicle and suffer a moderately severe brain injury. Had the seatbelt held, he would have suffered minor injuries like the other people in the accident.
We are committed to doing everything in our power to make sure our clients achieve the best possible outcome for their claims, even if that means taking on one of the biggest corporations n the world, like in seatbelt failure cases.

Lawyer Joke: The Whole Truth
Mr. Clark was briefing his client, who was about to testify in his own defense.
"You must swear to tell the complete truth," Mr. Clark warned. "Do you understand?"
The client replied that he did.
The lawyer then asked: "Do you know what will happen if you don't tell the truth?"
The client looked back and responded, "I imagine that our side would win."
