How Your Personal Injury Case Will Be Handled

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why won't the insurance company pay my lost wages each week while I am out of work rather than waiting until the final settlement?

A: Paying you each week helps your negotiating position. By not paying you until the end, they feel that you will be more desperate for money.

Plus, the insurance company gets to keep earning interest on the money you and thousands of people like you have coming. They want to keep that interest money flowing to themselves.

And besides that, there is no legal procedure to make them make partial payments on the sums you are eventually entitled to.

Q: Why do you wait until I am done treating for my injuries before trying to settle my case?

A: In cases of clear liability where the ultimate value of your claim will exceed the defendant's insurance policy limits, we begin immediately attempting to both settle your case and set the insurance company up for "unlimited liability."

In the other cases, we will not know the full value of your case until you have completed all medical treatments and rehabilitation.

Q: Why do I have to reimburse my health insurance company for the money it paid out for my medical expenses when I paid my premiums to them?

A: Almost every health insurance contract these days has a reimbursement or repayment clause in it. What this means is that if you collect money from someone who was responsible for injuring you and the health insurance company paid your medical bills, it has the right to collect that money back from you according to your contract with them.

For the clients who desire this service, we will negotiate with your health care insurance company or government assistance health insurance to lower the amount you must reimburse. We provide this service at no additional cost and many times we have saved a client thousands of dollars.

Client Reviews of Bisnar Chase

“I have used Bisnar and Chase twice now, both for car accidents. Each time I received a fair settlement and honestly received more than I expected. The entire team of Bisnar and Chase were professional, courteous and friendly. The paralegals there are top notch! I cannot express enough how much I appreciated the constant communication from them and how they explained things I didn't understand in such a way that I could.
Will I ever use them again? I only hope not to get into another car accident ever so that I don't have to, but I will definitely use them if I do (knock on wood I don't). I highly recommend Bisnar and Chase if you are considering hiring a lawyer for an automobile accident.”
