Three people, including an Orange County resident, were injured in a rollover accident the morning on March 26, 2010, after the SUV they were traveling in went out of control and crashed in Santa Barbara. The Daily Sound reports that the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was traveling at 75 mph in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Gaviota Beach Road. California Highway Patrol officials said that the driver, for unknown reasons, lost control of the Chevy Trailblazer and the vehicle rolled over before coming to rest on its roof. Read the rest »
Two people sustained major injuries in a San Francisco car accident the morning of March 14, 2010 after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 1 in Mendocino County. According to a news report in The Press Democrat, the crash occurred when a Honda CRV SUV traveling south on the highway veered into a northbound Mazda pickup truck. The driver of the Honda sustained major injuries, as did the driver of the Mazda, who was identified as 51-year-old Daniel Stone. The two drivers were airlifted to an area hospital. Kathy Stone, 53, a passenger in the Mazda, was also taken to a hospital with abdominal pain, but the extent of her injuries is not known. Read the rest »

California Highway Patrol officials said a truck heading south on the freeway crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck several vehicles. Two people sustained minor to moderate injuries. A bicyclist was killed in a San Francisco car accident after he was struck by a Chevy Blazer SUV the morning of February 1, 2010. The San Jose Mercury News reports that the fatal bicycle accident occurred on Lark Avenue near Garden Hill Drive in Los Gatos. Officials said the Chevy Blazer SUV rolled over during the collision. Both the SUV and the bicycle were traveling east on Lark Avenue at the time. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevy Blazer was taken to an area hospital. A man who sustained fatal injuries in a San Bernardino car accident has been identified by local authorities as 23-year-old Justin Chang of Hacienda Heights. The Whittier Daily News reports that Chang lost control of his vehicle on the Highway 395 the night of January 15, 2010. His Toyota Scion crashed near mile marker 61. Chang's Toyota went off the highway and into the northbound lane where he was struck by a Honda van. Chang died at the scene of the crash. Read the rest »
Paul John Rado, 62, was killed in a Riverside car accident the morning of January 19, 2010 after the company truck he was driving left Highway 189 and crashed. According to a news report in The Mountain News, Rado, an employee with Arrowhead Alarms, was returning to his company's headquarters after his morning rounds, in the Blue Jay area, when the fatal accident occurred. Rado's 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck was located down an embankment off the roadway, and on its roof, by one of his co-workers, who went out to look for him when he did not return to work. California Highway Patrol officials said Rado was found in the driver's seat with his seatbelt in place. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Read the rest »
Keun Park, 57, died this week from the major injuries he suffered in a Los Angeles car accident on November 13, 2009. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, Park was driving a 2000 Honda Accord on the 5 Freeway southbound near Paramount Boulevard in Santa Fe Springs, when for an unknown reason he turned to the left hitting the metal guard rail. California Highway Patrol officials said the impact from the crash caused the Honda to go out of control and into the traffic lanes. The Honda was then hit from behind by a 2008 GMC Yukon causing the car to spin across the number one lane and be struck again by an Acura Integra. Park was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Two others were also transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. Read the rest »
A man was killed in a San Diego car accident the morning of December 3, 2009 after the pickup truck he was driving collided with another vehicle on the Interstate 8 and crashed. According to a 10news report, the driver lost control of his 1990 Toyota pickup truck for unknown reasons. California Highway Patrol officials said the truck swerved to the right and crashed into a 2004 Dodge Ram, which then struck a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Toyota went off the freeway, down an embankment and plowed through a chain link fence before rolling over and coming to rest on its side. The pickup driver, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other vehicles were, fortunately, not injured. Read the rest »
