Two pedestrians sustained injuries in a San Francisco car accident after they were hit by a car while walking down a road in San Martin. According to a news report in the Morgan Hill Times, the injury collision occurred the evening of March 4, 2010, when a Toyota Camry heading north on Harding Avenue struck two pedestrians and a dog. The woman sustained cuts and bruises while the man suffered broken bones, cuts and lacerations. Both were taken by a helicopter to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The dog was not seriously injured.

Driver Inattention May Have Caused Collision

The driver stopped at the scene. California Highway Patrol officials said alcohol or drugs were not a factor. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the accident, but say, based on preliminary investigation, it may have been "inattention" on the part of the driver of the Camry.

Police have identified a 13-year-old girl who died in a Los Angeles car accident that happened the morning of February 26, 2010, as Julia Siegler. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the teenager was trying to cross Sunset Boulevard to catch a school bus when she was clipped by a vehicle and then run over by another. The Orange County Register reports that the pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Yale Avenue and Southwood. The woman was taken to an local hospital with serious injuries. Xiu Fang Huang, 63, was killed in a San Francisco car accident after she was struck by a San Francisco city Public Utilities Commission truck at an intersection. According to a news report in the San Francisco Examiner, Huang was crossing at the street intersection of Ocean and Miramar avenues the afternoon of February 9, 2010 when she was hit. The large city truck, which was towing a trailer and had three city employees onboard, was headed south on Miramar. The driver of the truck attempted a left turn on to Ocean Avenue when the fatal pedestrian accident occurred. Huang died at the scene. At least three people including a pedestrian were injured in a Los Angeles car accident the night of February 5, 2010, KTLA News reports. The major injury collision occurred at the busy intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. A car was northbound on Highland when its driver lost control, struck another car pushing it into a light pole. A female pedestrian was trapped between the light pole and the car. She was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries including, a possibly severed leg. The driver of one of the vehicles and another person were also hospitalized with injuries. Beverly Frantz, 49, was killed in a Fullerton car accident after she was struck by two vehicles while walking across West Orangethorpe Avenue. The Orange County Register reports that the fatal pedestrian accident occurred the night of January 28, 2010 when Frantz was crossing in the 2600 block of Orangethorpe. Frantz was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but died a few hours after the incident. Investigators are still looking into what caused this accident. A teenager who was killed in a San Francisco car accident the evening of January 27, 2010 has been identified as 15-year-old Michelle Cordova. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that the teenager was walking in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Orion Swank struck her. The fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of West College Avenue and Link Lane in Santa Rosa. Michelle was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Gina Ziesing, 44, was killed in a San Bernardino car accident after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing Highway 62. According to a news report in The San Bernardino Sun, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred the night of January 24, 2010, when Ziesing was crossing the highway in Yucca Valley. A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a Los Angeles car accident the afternoon of January 25, 2010, the Pasadena Star News report. The major injury pedestrian accident occurred in the 100 block of East Huntington Drive in Arcadia, when a vehicle heading east on Huntington struck the man. The victim, who has not yet been identified, and described only as a man in his 40s, sustained head trauma and a broken collar bone. He was transported to a local hospital where he is said to be in stable condition. The 21-year-old driver of the car was uninjured. She was not cited pending an official investigation. A man sustained serious injuries in a San Diego car accident after he was struck by a car while walking in the City Heights area. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the injury crash occurred the morning of January 20, 2010 on El Cajon Boulevard near 50th Street. San Diego police officials say a 1992 Chrysler hit the man.
