According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Ho, a wheelchair-bound man was going from his sister-in-law's house to his own home when he was hit the afternoon of December 1, 2009 at the 6th Street underpass at Ramona Road. A hit-and-run crash in San Bernardino County caused serious injuries for 22-year-old Robert Valle the morning of August 16, 2010. According to a news report in the Victorville Daily Press, the major injury collision occurred at the intersection of Nielson and Sheep Creek roads in Wrightwood. Kala White, 23, who was driving a Pontiac Grand Am attempted a left turn in front of an oncoming Chevy Tahoe. Six people in the Tahoe including Valle were injured in the collision. A German tourist who was fatally injured in a hit-and-run collision in San Francisco has been identified as 21-year-old Nils Linke. Police say Linke was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Masonic Avenue and Turk Street the night of August 13, 2010 when he was struck by a 1989 Mercedes-Benz. The driver, later identified as 36-year-old Joshua Calder, fled the scene of the crash. Thanks to tips from eyewitnesses, police were able to arrest and book him on suspicion of drunk driving, vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run and lacking proof of insurance. Robert Valle, 22, sustained major injuries in a San Bernardino car accident after the vehicle in which he was a passenger was struck by a suspected drunk driver, the Victorville Daily Press reports. The injury collision occurred early morning on August 16, 2010 at the intersection of Sheep Creek and Nielson roads in Wrightwood. A Pontiac Grand Am, driven by 23-year-old Kala White made a left turn in front of a Chevy Tahoe that was traveling north on Sheep Creek. The driver of the Tahoe, 46-year-old Carmen Melendrez, another adult passenger and two children also sustained minor injuries. White fled the scene of the crash. Nils Linke, 21, was killed in a San Francisco car accident after he was struck by a suspected drunk driver while riding his bike the night of August 13, 2010. According to news reports, the fatal hit-and-run collision occurred near the intersection of Masonic Avenue and Turk Street, when the 1989 Mercedes-Benz hit Linke and drove away. Officials found the car and its driver a few blocks away. Police determined that the driver, 36-year-old Joshua Calder, was under the influence and arrested him on suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and not having proof of insurance. A hit-and-run collision in Fresno fatally injured 23-year-old Sergio Cifuentes Perez the morning of August 8, 2010, KFSN reports. Fresno police officials say the fatal collision occurred near the intersection of Peach and Clay avenues. Perez was found dead on the roadway. The vehicle that struck him left the scene of the crash and there were very few witnesses because it happened in the early morning hours. A suspect or vehicle description is not available. Police in San Bernardino County are looking for a hit-and-run driver who they say struck and injured an 8-year-old boy in Muscoy. CBS News reports that the accident occurred at the intersection of Ogden Street and Otono Court. The boy was trying to cross the street when he was struck. Police have arrested a woman in connection with a fatal July 15, 2010 Los Angeles car accident, which resulted in the death of 11-year-old Natanael Garcia. According to an Associated Press news report, Natanael was struck and killed by a hit-and-run SUV at the intersection of 76th and Hoover streets in South Los Angeles. A pedestrian accident in San Diego resulted in major injuries for a 5-year-old boy the evening of July 13, 2010. A San Diego 6 news report states that a man who was backing up his vehicle pinned the little boy against a wall. He then left the scene on foot without stopping to render aid to the injured victim, in this case a young child. Thankfully the boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Sean Birney, 40, was injured in a hit-and-run collision in Colusa County the morning of July 3, 2010. According to a news report in the Colusa County Sun-Herald, 42-year-old Anita Bordelon was driving a 1995 GMC pickup truck, heading north on the 5 Freeway near Arbuckle, when she changed lanes and struck a 1999 Jaguar driven by Birney. He sustained injuries in the collision, but was able to pull over and call authorities. Bordelon fled the scene, but was found in a rest area a short time later and arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
