Two people were injured in a Fresno car accident after a female driver lost control of a Chevy Blazer SUV and crashed on the Highway 41. According to a CBS news report, the injury accident occurred the morning of March 10, 2010 near Shields, as the Blazer traveled down an onramp to enter the northbound lanes of the highway. The back end of the SUV lost traction on the rain-slicked pavement, California Highway Patrol officials said. The driver then overcorrected and went into the number one lane and hit a Honda Accord head-on. The Blazer rolled over, coming to rest on its roof. The driver of the Honda sustained more serious injuries than the driver of the SUV and was transported to the hospital. Read the rest »

Fresno Car Accident Kills Two
Bryan Banister, a 23-year-old firefighter from Westlake Village and Rigoberto Gomez Cortez, 21, were both killed in a Fresno car accident on the 5 Freeway in the Coalinga area the afternoon of November 9, 2009. According to a news report in the Ventura County Star, Banister and Cortez, who had stopped to help Banister, were both killed when 62-year-old Cynthia Merrit plowed her Chevy Tahoe SUV into them.
