A 4-year-old girl was seriously injured in a dog bite incident on March 1, 2010 after a pit bull attacked her. According to a news report in the San Bernardino Sun, the girl was visiting her uncle at his apartment in the 1600 block of E. Kingsley Ave. in Pomona. Officials said the girl may have startled the pit bull that was sleeping. The girl was bitten in the face and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A man sustained serious injuries in a dog bite incident in Los Angeles that involved two loose pit bulls. KPCC Radio reports that the man, who is in his 70s, was walking on the sidewalk along the 17300 block of Burbank Boulevard on December 13, 2009, when he was attacked by two pit bulls. The dogs refused to let go of the man until motorists who were passing by rescued him. Los Angeles police officials say that the dogs escaped from their yard to attack the victim. Read the rest »
