Barstow Car Accident on Interstate 40 Causes Fatal Burn Death
Evan Burns, 14, was fatally injured in a Barstow car accident on August 14, 2011. The accident happened on California Interstate 40 when Mr. Burns was driving westbound. His Dodge Dakota drifted and collided with a dirt shoulder. The truck rolled over and caused his son, Evan, to be ejected from the vehicle.
Evan was rushed to the Loma Lina University medical Center. He was later pronounced dead.

Oregon Big Rig Truck Driver Makes Narrow Escape
Dennis Magee, 37, made a narrow escape when he was nearly injured in an Oregon truck accident. According to a news article in the Curry Pilot, the big rig driver was delivering beer kegs in Brookings. As Magee began to unload the kegs, the big rig truck began to roll out of the parking lot. Magee was able to jump out of the trailer before the truck rolled down a 30-foot embankment plowing through blackberry bushes and chain link fences.
Brookings Police Officer Dustin Watson believes that the accident may have been caused by a mechanical malfunction.
Residents are relieved that no one was injured in this dangerous accident.
A number of employees at the Gerald Ross insurance office witnessed the big rig accident. The Office Manager, Sue Ross, was on a phone call when she noticed the truck rolling down the hill.

Girl Injured in Orange County Car Accident
A 3-year-old girl was seriously injured in an Orange County car accident, which police report, was caused by a reckless driver the afternoon of November 6, 2010. According to a news article in The Orange County Register, the serious injury car accident occurred near the intersection of West Ball Road and South Knott Avenue in Anaheim. Police say that a man in his 20s drove his 2010 black Ford Fusion through three red lights before crashing into a Nissan Altima and a Toyota. The toddler, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Two other adults in the Nissan suffered injuries, the extent of which is not yet known, while two of the Toyota's occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
