Christopher Waldrop, 24, of Riverside was killed in an Anaheim car accident after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle that was making a left turn. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the motorcycle collision occurred the morning of September 30, 2012 in the 100 block of East Orangethorpe Avenue. Police say Waldrop’s Yamaha motorcycle was westbound on Orangethorpe Avenue when a Buick Century traveling eastbound made a left turn in front of him. Waldrop was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 85-year-old driver of the Buick was not taken to the hospital. She has not been cited or arrested in connection with this incident. The investigation is ongoing.

A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a Costa Mesa car crash after a car cut in front of him and caused him to lose control of his bike, the afternoon of August 15, 2012. According to a news report in The Newport Beach Independent, the injury crash occurred on 17th Street at Newport Boulevard. Costa Mesa police say the sport bike motorcycle was traveling east on 17th Street when a car cut in front of it. The motorcyclist, who was traveling at about 20 to 25 mph, laid his bike down to avoid the collision. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Family members said he may have suffered a dislocated shoulder. The investigation is ongoing.

Christian Dasilva, 40, was killed in a Huntington Beach accident when his motorcycle collided with a Lexus sedan. According to a news article in The Orange County Register, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Hamilton Avenue near Brookhurst Street, the afternoon of July 16, 2012. The 33-year-old female driver of the Lexus remained at the scene after her vehicle hit the victim’s 2011 Triumph Bonneville T100. Dasilva was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a nearby hospital. It is not clear if the driver of the Lexus will face charges. Investigators are looking to interview witnesses.
