Mitchell Lucker, 28, the vocalist for the band Suicide Silence, was killed in a Huntington Beach motorcycle accident after his Harley-Davidson crashed into a pole. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred the night of October 31, 2012.
Police say Lucker was riding the 2013 Harley south on Main Street when he lost control and crashed into a light pole. Lucker was ejected, but the motorcycle continued south on Main and collided with a 2007 Nissan Titan pickup truck. Lucker was transported to an area trauma center where he died from his injuries. Christian Dasilva, 40, was killed in a Huntington Beach accident when his motorcycle collided with a Lexus sedan. According to a news article in The Orange County Register, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Hamilton Avenue near Brookhurst Street, the afternoon of July 16, 2012. The 33-year-old female driver of the Lexus remained at the scene after her vehicle hit the victim’s 2011 Triumph Bonneville T100. Dasilva was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a nearby hospital. It is not clear if the driver of the Lexus will face charges. Investigators are looking to interview witnesses.

Abraham Perez, 30, was killed in a Huntington Beach car accident, which also left a 7-month-old baby with critical injuries. According to a news article in The Press Telegram, the fatal car crash occurred on Bolsa Chica Street near Tasman Drive in Huntington Beach, the morning of May 9, 2012. Officials say a Ford Bronco driven by a woman crossed the center divider and entered oncoming traffic where it struck the vehicle Perez was driving. Another southbound vehicle was involved in the collision as well.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, a 7-month old baby was hospitalized in critical condition and the baby’s mother was hospitalized as well. It is unclear what caused the female driver of the Bronco to veer into oncoming traffic or if she will be cited for the collision.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the family members and friends of Abraham Perez following this tragic Orange County car accident. My thoughts and prayers are also with the surviving victims of this collision especially the infant who remains hospitalized in critical condition.

One person was killed and a 7-month-old baby was critically injured in a Huntington Beach car accident involving three vehicles. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred near the intersection of Bolsa Chica Street and Tasman Drive, the morning of May 9, 2012. Huntington Beach police say that a Ford Bronco was northbound on Bolsa Chica when the driver lost control, crossed into southbound lanes and struck a silver Honda. A third vehicle that was also traveling south then crashed into the wreckage of the first accident. The impact of the collision caused the Bronco to rollover onto its roof. One person suffered fatal injuries. Two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries while a 7-month-old infant was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. An investigation is still ongoing.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased victim who are mourning their loved one’s tragic loss. My heart also goes out to the injured victim especially the critically injured child. I wish the injured victims the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.

Eight people suffered injuries in a boating accident after a powerboat exploded in Huntington Harbour, the morning of November 26, 2011. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred on a boat that was headed to Long Beach. Officials say nine people, ranging in age from teens to 50, were on the 26-foot powerboat. The boat was two to three minutes away from the harbor’s main public launching ramp when the driver noticed gasoline leaking and told passengers that they should turn back. That was when the engine began sputtering and exploded. The impact from the explosion caused passengers to be thrown into the ocean. Passengers suffered a variety of injuries including broken bones, scrapes and bruises and were transported to area medical centers. Officials are looking into the cause of the explosion.

Five people were injured in a Huntington Beach car accident, which officials say, was caused by a suspected drunk driver. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury collision occurred near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Newman Avenue early morning on October 11, 2011. Officials say the driver of a Toyota Camry, identified as 22-year-old Forrest Leland Kelly, was northbound on Beach when he broadsided a southbound Dodge Durango driven by 28-year-old Thomas William Barrett.
The Dodge that had three passengers was making a U-turn at the intersection when the crash occurred. The Dodge overturned and all four occupants were transported to a local hospital with injuries. Kelly was also injured, but was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact Huntington Beach police officials at 714-536-5666.
