Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Car Accident

Car Accident in FresnoA man was killed in a Fresno car accident after a pickup struck him as he was walking his dog across the street, the night of October 24, 2011. According to a KFSN news report, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Fowler and Shepherd in Clovis. Officials say the man was walking his dog in a crosswalk when the pickup hit him. The victim was fatally injured but his dog is expected to survive. The male driver involved in this collision has not been arrested and it is not clear if he will be cited for the crash.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the man killed in this tragic Fresno accident. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

Teenagers Injured in Fresno Area Car Accident

Car accident lawyers in FresnoBrianne Rodriguez, 16, was seriously injured in a Fresno area car accident after the vehicle in which she was a passenger rolled over. According to a news report in The Fresno Bee, the major injury crash occurred the night of June 5, 2011. Brianne Rodriguez was in the back seat of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Alejandro Sepeda.

The pickup was traveling west on Avenue 184 in Porterville when Sepeda swerved to avoid a dog. The truck rolled over, went down an embankment and landed on the tree. A branch broke through the back window and impaled Brianne’s leg. Sepeda sustained relatively minor injuries. Two other passengers — Brittany Rodriguez and Priscilla Chavez, both 16 – sustained minor to moderate injuries. An investigation is ongoing.

My heart goes out to the injured victims of this car accident. I wish all the victims, especially the severely injured Brianne Rodriguez, the very best for a speedy and complete recovery. These victims will be in my prayers. Read the rest »

 

Students Injured in Fresno School Bus Accident

Six students from Central High School were injured in a Fresno car accident when their school bus was rear-ended. According to a news report in The Fresno Bee, the injury bus accident occurred at Belmont and Brawley avenues near Fresno the morning of April 7, 2011. Police say that the female driver who crashed her vehicle into the back of the school bus may have been under the influence of narcotics. The six high school students suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car was hospitalized for her injuries as well. She is under investigation for driving under the influence.

My thoughts and prayers are with the injured victims of this Fresno bus accident. I wish them all a complete and speedy recovery from their injuries.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), 81 people were killed and 1,362 were injured as a result of car accidents in the unincorporated areas of Fresno County. Police Officer Injured in Fresno Area Car Accident

A California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a Fresno area car accident when his patrol car was hit by a pickup truck the evening of January 16, 2011. According to a news report in the Fresno Bee, the injury car accident occurred at the intersection of 11th Avenue and West Florinda Street in Hanford. A Chevy Silverado that was making a left turn at the intersection struck the officer’s Ford Crown Victoria on the driver’s side. The officer sustained injuries including head trauma and distorted vision. The driver of the Silverado sustained back and neck injuries. Officials are looking into who was at fault for this car accident.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), four people were killed and 177 were injured in Hanford car accidents. Fresno Area Car Accident Seriously Injures Man

Jim Gagliardi, 71, was seriously injured in a Fresno area car accident, which police say, was caused by a driver who failed to yield right-of-way. According to a news report in The Fresno Bee, the serious injury accident occurred on Highway 41 in Madera County the night of November 16, 2010.

Gagliardi was driving a GMC southbound on the highway when a Jeep turned in front of him to enter a private driveway. Gagliardi suffered major injuries in the car accident. He had to be rescued from his vehicle and was transported to an area hospital. It is unclear at this time if the 18-year-old driver of the Jeep, Maxwell Gross, will be cited for the car accident. Hit-and-Run Car Accident in Fresno Injures Motorcyclist

An off-duty California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a Fresno car accident involving a hit-and-run driver. CBS News reports that that the motorcycle hit-and-run accident occurred near the intersection of Herndon Avenue and Palm Street. Police are looking for the suspect vehicle, which they say is a silver Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The off-duty CHP officer suffered leg injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
