The Bisnar | Chase family recently helped kick off the Orange County Super Fair's initial 5K run with as many as 43 employees, relatives and friends of the firm lacing up their running shoes for a good cause last Sunday.
With the goal of promoting running as a healthy lifestyle, the Bisnar | Chase team along with more than 700 runners made their way through the fairgrounds, winding their way past the Pacific Amphitheatre, the rides, the food stands, elephants and other exhibits.
Impressive Times By All Runners
"This was a great effort by all," personal injury attorney John Bisnar said. "It's one of the many activities our employees and their families participate in. Everyone had a great time, and every member of our team finished in under an hour," Bisnar added. Bisnar | Chase Legal Administrator Shannon Barker who helped organize the runs with paralegal Victoria Simon meantime noted the firm had almost 98 percent participation.
Some of the team's best times were 22-year-old JR De La Torre, who came in at 24:58 minutes; 13-year old Michael Noel-Olson, who finished in 31:17 minutes; and Pat Barker, who clocked in at 33:59 minutes. Bisnar | Chase runners ranged in age 9 to over 60 years old with even the three youngest runners, 9-year old Madison Ritsema, 11-year old Anthony Gray-Olson and 11-year old Megan Ritsema all joining the fun and completing the run even with the scorching sun mercilessly beating down on runners.
Team Bonding
The heat however helped bring the team even closer together. "We spent the entire morning encouraging each other," said Danielle Olson, Executive Assistant at Bisnar | Chase. "I came in at 56 minutes, walking with my 11 year old, Anthony, and my husband. We had a great time and are so proud of everyone who participated. The heat was intense, and whether you walked, ran or skipped, we all felt the sun bearing down on us."
