Los Angeles Car Accident Seriously Injures Pedestrian

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a Los Angeles car accident the afternoon of January 25, 2010, the Pasadena Star News report. The major injury pedestrian accident occurred in the 100 block of East Huntington Drive in Arcadia, when a vehicle heading east on Huntington struck the man. The victim, who has not yet been identified, and described only as a man in his 40s, sustained head trauma and a broken collar bone. He was transported to a local hospital where he is said to be in stable condition. The 21-year-old driver of the car was uninjured. She was not cited pending an official investigation.

Pedestrian Accident Statistics

According to California Highway Patrol's 2007 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were two fatalities and 24 injuries involving pedestrian accidents in Arcadia.
