The Pinnacle Acetabular Cup System from Depuy comprises a 180 degree titanium shell with coating options including Porocoat (titanium sintered beads) Duofix (Porocoat with an HA coating) and Gription (high friction porous surface). The shell is designed to accept polyethylene, ceramic and metal liners (Marathon or AltrX, Biolox and Ultamet respectively). Everyone is talking about the metal on metal, but there are victims out there that have had issues with the polyethylene and ceramic components. WAKE UP EVERYONE!!! The problem lies with the Pinnacle Acetabular Cup System…PERIOD!! I have the Pinnacle Sector II Acetabular Cup with the Polyethylene Marathon Liner and it has dislocated three times. Why is it everyone is only concerned about the metal on metal victims…doesn’t my pain and suffering when it dislocates matter??? ALL PINNACLE ACETABULAR CUP SYSTEMS NEED TO BE RECALLED!!!
