To Someone

I do not know this girl, but I do live in Glendale. I have a friend that lives right where the accident happened. When I heard about the accident of course my heart went of the family of the deceased. But, a few days after the accident, just out of curiosity, I drove down the same street in the direction Ani Voskanian was traveling at the same time of the accident. The sun was so blinding, I couldn't see anything. I knew there was a stop sign only because of her accident a few days prior. She's not lying, the sun is blinding there at that time. After that, my heart broke for this girl. I have an 18 year old and a 20 year old. This could have happened to any of us. This is a sad story. I hope everything works out for her. I pray for her and her family.

To Someone and Mee!:

My comment has nothing to do with ignorance or "having a heart."

When in court, District Attorneys and prosecutors do not give 10 different scenarios and ask an infinite amount of "What Ifs?" They take the facts and evidence they have and judge upon that. SO here in question is an innocent young lady, who ACCIDENTLY struck an innocent man...NOT my father..or yours. And yes, here in California we have many different charges that people can be charged with..not just MANSLAUGHTER or MURDER. She did not murder anyone. This would either be Negligence or INVOLUNTARY Manslaughter, as in it was an ACCIDENT...but then again its for a judge to decide, not you or me. And just to answer your question "ME," A 10 year old little girl was struck and killed last year in Glendale, CA. She was also a pedestrian. Her mother dropped her off at school and was watching her daughter cross the street when a lady happened to miss her and struck the little girl. That lady stopped, called 911, and to date has not been prosecuted for anything...at all. Because it was an accident, yes a very unfortunate one, but it was still an accident. Also, if it had nothing to do with money, the family should've prosecuted Ani in September when the incident first occurred, not 3 months after, if in fact they REALLY CARED about prosecuted this innocent young lady.

TO Ani and her family...I wish you the best and luck! My heart really hurts for you. My prayers go out to you. And to her lawyers: Please save her.

i completely agree with "Someone". just because the person is old does not mean it makes the situation any better. Bottom line, she was not being cautious enough, had she been careful she could have avoided the whole situation. Yes, accidents do happen but you need to deal with the consequences. Especially if an innocent pedestrian's life was altered. I'm sure you wouldnt feel the same had she accidently hit a 5 year old child that was crossing the street. Then what would you say to justify the situation? Would she deserve to go to jail then? Since when was killing an innocent person dependent on age? And im sure this has nothing to do with the family recieving money, have a heart.

anyone can go to google sky maps and see that the sun had already set at that time and there was simply no sun to be in her eyes... I dont think it was a accident, it was carelessness and the age of the deceased is irrelevant, it could have been a woman walking her two children in a stroller... the above comment is a ignorant person if they think a 21 year old who killed somebody should be excused because they are a 'little girl' and its okay because 'he was old'. I wonder what your reaction would be had the deceased been your father..

Ani Voskanian is a young lady who does NOT deserve to be put in jail for this. Our system is so coruppted. How can they even think about jailing an innocent young lady? So she can spend her prime years in a stinky place behind bars? really? For what? She was driving along like the rest of us...didnt see the man and ACCIDNETLY hit him. She stopped afterwards and did not drive off. If it was intentional or she didnt care she wouldve driven off. She called the cops and made sure the man recieved proper attention. My condolences go to this man's family, BUT he was already 80 years old and lived his life...so what now? you want to jail this young lady and end hers? and if the family cared so much about their loved one, why prosecute her 3months after? did the family learn that they can get some money out of this or something? It really disgusts me to see how people think and are. Bottom line is I hope and pray for ANI VOSKANIAN and her family. Her life has been shattered because of all this and she doesnt deserve it, no young lady does. If something was to be done, she shouldve got a ticket for negligence(if in fact she was texting) NOT be charged with MANSLUAGHTER. TO Ani and her family...I wish you the best and luck! My heart really hurts for you. And to her lawyers: Please save this little girl from the coruppted hands of the government, prosecuters, and the victim's family.
