Two women were injured in an Orange County car accident after the van they were in collided with a motor home in Anaheim, California. According to a news article in The Orange County Register, the accident occurred at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and the northbound 5 Freeway off-ramp, the morning of September 25, 2009. The driver of the motor home was apparently not injured.
I'm relieved that this car accident did not cause serious or life-threatening injuries. I wish both the injured victims the very best for a quick and complete recovery.

Based on the information available in the news report of this particular car accident, it is not quite clear what caused the collision. In such car accidents, there may be a number of factors that play a part. The accident may have been caused by an impaired, distracted, speeding or otherwise reckless or negligent driver. If that is the case, then the negligent driver could be held liable for the collision and injuries caused. If this accident was the result of the driver of the motor home not properly securing the car that was being towed, then he or she could be held liable for negligence as well. If a dangerous roadway contributed to the crash, then the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining that roadway could be held liable. Please remember that any claim involving a California governmental agency must be properly filed within 180 days of the accident or injury.
Car Accident Liability Issues
In these types of car accident cases, it is in the best interest of injured victims to seek the counsel of an experienced Orange County personal injury lawyer who has an excellent track record of securing fair compensation for the victims and their families. A knowledgeable car accident lawyer should advise and guide victims on insurance issues and also on other possible sources of compensation. For instance, if the at-fault party is on-the-job at the time of the accident, the employer could also be held liable. If the at-fault party has no insurance coverage or lacks sufficient coverage, then the uninsured/underinsured clause of the victim's own car insurance policy could help compensate for injuries and other damages.
