Alberto Jose Serejo, 51, was killed in a Riverside car accident after he was struck by a car on Highway 62 the evening of September 16, 2009. According to a news report in the San Bernardino Sun, Serejo, a fashion photographer from Denmark, was standing in front of the Joshua Tree Inn when a car heading east at the 61200 block of Highway 62 in Joshua Tree, California, hit him.
I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends Alberto Jose Serejo for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. Apparently Serejo was in Joshua Tree for a photo shoot. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Riverside Car Accident Statistics

In any of such fatal California car accidents, there are always a number of possible factors that may have come into play and led to the collision. At this point, based on the article, there is not enough information available to explain what exactly had happened here. If I were a family member I'd want to know how this fatal crash occurred and if there was any negligence involved on the part of the motorist. Where exactly was Serejo standing when the car struck him? Was the car's driver distracted, intoxicated or negligent in some other way? Did the car veer away from its path and strike Serejo? Was the driver speeding or going too fast for the conditions at the time? Did the accident occur in the parking facility of the Joshua Tree Inn? Finding the answers to these questions will determine who was at fault here.
Car Accident Liability Issues
In such cases, it would be in the best interest of car accident victims and/or their families to contact and consult an experienced California personal injury lawyer, who will stay on top of the official investigation, sort out the facts of the case, identify the negligent parties and hold them accountable. If a dangerous condition on the roadway caused or contributed to this accident, the governmental agency (or in some cases, property owner) responsible for maintaining that roadway could be held liable for the victim's injuries or wrongful death. Please remember that any claim against a governmental agency must be properly filed within 180 days of the accident or injury.
