Twana Williamson, 59, was killed in a rollover accident after losing control of her vehicle and crashing. According to a news report in The Union Democrat, Williamson was driving east on Upper Skyridge drive the afternoon of July 24, 2010 in her Ford Escape SUV when she lost control at a turn near Lower Skyridge. The vehicle veered off the roadway, swiped a tree and hit a rock retaining wall. California Highway Patrol officials say Williamson may not have been wearing a seatbelt. Boy Dies in Daycare Swimming Pool Accident
Paul Sniffen, a 6-year-old boy, died in a swimming pool accident during a daycare outing. According to a Bay City News report, the drowning occurred the afternoon of July 26, 2010 at 3979 Mabel Avenue in Castro Valley. Lifeguards tried resuscitating Paul, but were unsuccessful. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Read the rest »

Los Angeles Residents Injured in Car Accident
One person was killed and two others, all from Los Angeles, were injured in a Fresno car accident after their van crashed on the Interstate 5, the morning of July 27, 2010. According to a news report in The Fresno Bee, the accident, which happened near Coalinga, injured the driver, Jimmy Sanpakit, 68, of Arleta, and another passenger, Kuangrudee Kla-harn, 71, of Van Nuys. Their van was northbound on the freeway, close to Highway 145, when a tread separated from one of the tires. The driver lost control of the vehicle. A 68-year-old male passenger from North Hollywood sustained fatal injuries in this crash. His identity has not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing. Read the rest »

Linda Saunders, 55, was killed in a Los Angeles car accident after she was struck by a vehicle on the 210 Freeway in La Canada. According to a news report in the La Canada Valley Sun, the fatal accident occurred the morning of July 27, 2010 near Ocean View Boulevard, when Saunders stepped out of her stopped car on to the freeway. Bicyclist Severely Injured in San Francisco Area Car Accident
A 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a San Francisco car accident after he was hit by a van while riding his bicycle on Highway 101. According to a KTVU news report, the major injury collision occurred the morning of July 23, 2010 near Kastania Road, in Petaluma, when a GMC van driven by 63-year-old Nicolay Pokornyy drifted to the right shoulder and struck the bicyclist.
