A hit-and-run accident in Aliso Viejo resulted in serious injuries to a 65-year-old woman who was a passenger in a Toyota Matrix that was struck by another car at a street intersection. Fatal San Francisco Area DUI Car Accident
Two men were killed in San Francisco car accident after the driver of their vehicle lost control and crashed on a Gilroy street. According to a news report in the San Jose Mercury News, the fatal accident occurred early morning on May 27, 2010 when a vehicle traveling east on Sixth Street near Monterey Street crashed and rolled over. Two men died at the scene. The driver, identified as David Torres, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, vehicular manslaughter and fleeing the scene of the accident. Four Injured in Car Accident
Amanda Dias, 19, and 25-year-old Iva Adriano were both injured in a car accident the afternoon of May 26, 2010. According to the Roseville Press-Tribune, Dias was driving her Honda Civic north on Industrial Avenue near Athens Avenue, in Roseville, when for an unknown reason, she turned left directly in front of a Dodge Intrepid driven by 25-year-old Iva Adriano, who was traveling east on Athens. The Intrepid struck the left side of Dias' car. Dias and two of her passengers suffered major injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Adriano sustained moderate injuries and was also hospitalized. Police say alcohol or drugs don't seem to have been a factor. Read the rest »

San Francisco Bay Area Car Accident Fatal for Pedestrian
A man was fatally injured in a San Francisco car accident after he was struck by a vehicle near the Grant Street on-ramp to the northbound State Route 242 in Concord. According to a CBS News report, the fatal pedestrian collision occurred the night of May 24, 2010. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died the following morning. The driver of the vehicle, Willie Blacks Jr., 40, was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition in the southbound fast lane of Highway 99, near Golden State Boulevard, when the SUV drifted to the left of the roadway. Fatal Los Angeles Car Accident
A 32-year-old man was killed and another man injured in a Los Angeles car accident the morning of May 22, 2010 on the 134 Freeway. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the fatal car crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Harvey Drive in Glendale. California Highway Patrol officials say the 32-year-old man was driving a 2001 Honda Civic, when for unknown reasons, his car drifted into the number four lane and rear-ended a 2003 GMC box van. The van went out of control and overturned on its side before sliding across the raised median and resting on the connector road. The driver of the Honda died at the scene, while the driver of the box van complained of pain to his head, left side and sustained cuts to his arm. An investigation is ongoing. Read the rest »

Girl Seriously Injured in Stockton Dog Attack
A dog bite incident in Stockton involving two pit bulls and several dogs, left three people injured, including a 6-year-old girl who sustained severe injuries. According to a news report in The Stockton Records, the dog attack occurred the afternoon May 16, 2010 when a babysitter was caring for the girl and another 10-year-old boy. Six Injured after Muni Train and Van Collide in San Francisco
Several people sustained injuries in a San Francisco train accident after a San Francisco Municipal Railway light rail vehicle and a passenger transport van collided the morning of May 20, 2010. According to a Bay City News report, the collision occurred at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Judah Street in the city's Inner Sunset neighborhood. Six people who were in the van suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals. No one in the light rail vehicle seems to have been injured.
