A 65-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a San Bernardino car accident after he was struck by a car in Upland. The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports that the bicyclist was riding west on 16th Street near Euclid Avenue, the afternoon of March 28, 2010, when a 2004 Toyota Camry hit him. Witnesses apparently told police that the bicyclist turned left in front of the Camry. The man was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition. Read the rest »

Skateboarder Injured in Orange County DUI Collision
A 26-year-old skateboarder sustained serious injuries in an Orange County car accident after he was struck by a suspected drunk driver the morning of March 28, 2010.The Orange County Register reports that the man was skateboarding on Moulton Parkway near Aliso Creek Road, in Laguna Niguel, when he was struck by a 2003 Suzuki driven by 22-year-old Andrew Colleta. The skateboarder suffered a broken leg, cuts and scratches. Colleta was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving. Orange County court records indicate that Colleta received speeding tickets in previous years including, one for "driving across, over or upon divided highways." Read the rest »
SUV Rollover Accident Injures Three
Three people, including an Orange County resident, were injured in a rollover accident the morning on March 26, 2010, after the SUV they were traveling in went out of control and crashed in Santa Barbara. The Daily Sound reports that the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was traveling at 75 mph in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Gaviota Beach Road. San Diego MTS Bus Passengers Injured In Hit-and-Run Car Accident
A San Diego car accident involving a collision between a Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus and another vehicle, the afternoon of March 24, 2010, has injured nine of the bus passengers. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports the injury accident happened at the intersection of University Avenue and 37th Street in City Heights. A Mitsubishi Eclipse ran a stop sign at University Avenue as it headed south on 37th, and struck the bus, which was eastbound on University. Read the rest »
San Diego Car Accident Fatally Injures Marines
Two Marines, ages 19 and 21, sustained fatal injuries in a San Diego car accident after the vehicle they were in went off the roadway and into a ravine. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the fatal car accident occurred the night of March 18, 2010 when the Mazda 3 going west on Carroll Canyon Road in Mira Mesa went straight through a guardrail. San Francisco Muni Light Rail Train Injures Pedestrian
A person was injured in a pedestrian accident after being struck by a San Francisco Municipal Railway light rail vehicle in the city's Bayview District. According to a Bay City News report, the injury collision involving a T-Third train occurred the morning of March 25, 2010, near the intersection of Third Street and Williams Avenue. Nine Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run Car Accident
Nine people aboard a Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus were injured in a San Diego car accident after a Mitsubishi Eclipse ran a stop sign at a City Heights intersection and collided with the bus. According to a news report in The San Diego Union-Tribune, the car was southbound on 37th Street the afternoon of March 24, 2010, and ran the stop sign at University Avenue. The Mitsubishi then broadsided the bus, which was traveling east on University. There were 40 people on the bus, of which nine were injured. Read the rest »
Orange County Car Accident Injures Five
Five people sustained injuries in an Anaheim car accident after two vehicles collided head-on the night of March 22, 2010. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury crash occurred on Santa Ana Canyon Road between Festival and Mohler drives, when a westbound 2001 Toyota Sequoia drifted in to opposing lanes and struck a 2005 Toyota Highlander. The driver of the Highlander suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area trauma center. The driver of the Sequoia sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Three children also suffered minor injuries but, it is not yet known whether they were also hospitalized. Read the rest »
Elderly Driver's License Suspended after San Diego Car Accident
One man was critically injured and two children are lucky to be alive after a San Diego car accident caused by an elderly driver the afternoon of March 20, 2010. According to a news report in The San Diego Union-Tribune, an 86-year-old driver was pulling his Cadillac Coupe de Ville out of a parking spot outside a Costco store, on Morena Boulevard. He hit the accelerator instead of the brake causing the Cadillac to hit a car behind him and an SUV. Read the rest »
