Personal Injury Law Firm Helps Kick Off OC Super Fair 5K Run

Over 43 employees, families and friends of the Newport Beach personal injury law firm of Bisnar | Chase (www.BestAttorney.com ) helped kick off the Orange County Super Fair's initial 5K Run, which took place Sunday at 9 am.
The OC 5K Run was the first-ever for the Bisnar | Chase team. "Our runners/walkers ranged in age from 9 to over 60 years old," said Bisnar | Chase founder John Bisnar. "Our three youngest participants included 9-year old Madison Ritsema, who came in at 54 minutes; 11-year old Anthony Gray-Olson, who came in at 55 minutes; and 11-year old Megan Ritsema, who came in at 46 minutes."
Some of the firm's best times were 22-year old JR De La Torre, who came in at 24:58 minutes; 13-year old Michael Noel-Olson, who finished in 31:17 minutes; and Pat Barker, who clocked in at 33:59 minutes. "This was a great effort by all," added Bisnar. "It's one of many activities our employees and their families participate in. Everyone had a great time, and every member of our team finished in under an hour."
The Bisnar | Chase team joined more than 700 runners and walkers who competed in the OC Super Fair's 5K. The event took participants through the fairgrounds before the fair opened, racing, jogging and walking through the Pacific Amphitheatre, and past the rides, food stands, elephants and other animals. The goal was to promote health through running or walking, and to let runners/walkers burn sufficient calories to eat the endless deep-fried goodies offered throughout the fairgrounds.
Everyone who finished received a medal and a hearty congratulations from OC Fair Staff. "It was a great morning spent encouraging each other," noted Danielle Olson, Executive Assistant at Bisnar | Chase. "I came in at 56 minutes, walking with my 11 year old, Anthony, and my husband. We had a great time and are so proud of everyone who participated. The heat was intense, and whether you walked, ran or skipped, we all felt the sun pounding down on us."
Bisnar | Chase Legal Administrator Shannon Barker who helped organize the runs with paralegal Victoria Simon noted the firm had almost 100 percent participation. The group will also be part of the OC Super Fair's 5K Run when the fair officially closes on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 9 am.
