Newport Beach Chili Cook-off to Benefit Boys & Girls Club of the Harbor Area

This special event is held annually to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of the Harbor Area. On Sunday, August 28th, 2011 from noon until 5:00 p.m. The Hi-Time Wine Cellars of Costa Mesa will hold a chili cook-off that is expected to bring in over 2,000 chili loving attendees. Included in these 2,000 chili fans will be the BISNAR | CHASE staff to support the charity as well as compete in the chili cook-off. Their own team member Sandra Smith will be competing against 29 other chili booths for the best chili grand prize.
Sandra has been competing in chili cook-offs throughout the years, winning awards with her appetizing homemade chili. This year, the staff hopes she will bring in the grand prize while helping to support a greater cause, the children from the Boys and Girls Club.
"Beans Gone Wild"
The Hi-Times Wine Cellar will produce a chili cook-off event that's sure to be fun for everyone. There will be three live bands, Road Kill King, Lynyn Skynnyrd and Freestyle along with tasty refreshments such as Stone beer, wine, margaritas and mouth-watering chilies which can be sampled from 30 competing chili booths. Plus there will be plenty of giveaways and swag for attendees.
BISNAR | CHASE is thrilled to be competing and helping raise money for the charity. The bar was set high last year with the event raising an outstanding $22,536.99. This year the goal is to surpass last year's raised funds by encouraging more people to attend.
Admission to the event is only $10.00 and raffle tickets come in at a buck. The staff of BISNAR | CHASE hopes to help make this event a success and asks readers to stop by their booth to taste chili that they guarantee will be a hit.
